Laurianne Fiorentino is a singer-songwriter whose music borders on ritual and ceremony. Florentino weaves lyrics into a sound-scape of rhythms and melodies created by voice, guitar, bamboo flute, harmonica, and ocarina.

Santa Fe’s Laurianne Fiorentino, now known as Lauria, has released her first studio CD, and it is a joy to listen to.  Called “Lauria: When I’m an Angel.”  This is her sixth CD, and a departure from past home-made and live concert recordings. The name change signifies a new sound and a new vision for Lauria.

Playing keyboards as a preschooler, Laurianne sprouted up through the dense forest of six brothers in an Italian family north of Boston, MA.  Self-taught on guitar, she added harmonica from age eleven.

Lauria was nominated for Artist Of The Year by the Nat’l Acad. Of Songwriters (LA), Critics’Choice at NXNE (Toronto) andFolKrawl (Memphis).
